Things the Madrid airport made me appreciate:
- Free airport wifi that works for more than 15 min
- Screens that show departure information for the next few hours, not just one hour
- Especially when some gates take 30 minutes and a train to get to
- Restaurant staff in the international terminal who speak English
- Or restaurant staff who don't speak English but try to be helpful
- A limit to the number of people who stick perfume testers under my nose
- A terminal walkway that does not smell like a hundred different perfumes
- And last but not least, not having to get to the gate 1.5 hours early because of not one but two separate security checks for a connecting flight
